Duane Lundgren Obituary
Duane H. Lundgren 88, Lake Summerset, IL, died at 10:39 a.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2016, in his home, surrounded by his family. Born January 21, 1928, in Rockford, IL; the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry and Florence (Flood) Lundgren. Married the former Virginia A. Boyer in Rockford, IL on June 18, 1966. He was employed in Quality Control by Rockford Products for over 40 years. Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the US Army. Member of the Lake Summerset Fishing Club. He enjoyed golfing and trips to the casino. Survivors include wife, Virginia Lundgren; daughter, Sue (Ted) Smalley; son, Dale (Mia) Lundgren; grandchildren, Brandon Holliday, Amanda Smalley, Annie Lundgren, Corrynne Lawnduski, Ryan Lawnduski and Sherry Jackson; great-granddaughter, Jhaiden Jackson; brother, Donald Lundgren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Lundgren; and sister, Virginia Fenske.
Memorial ceremonies will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2016, in McCorkle Funeral Home-Durand Chapel, 101 W Main Street, Durand, IL, with Pastor Pat Esker of Trinity Lutheran Church, Durand, IL, officiating.
