Elizabeth A. King 1921—2021
Elizabeth A. (Leach) King, 99, of Rockford, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021. She was born on May 26, 1921 in Rockford, the daughter of Harry and Ethel Leach. She graduated from Rockford Central High School in 1939 and married Ross King on June 7, 1947. She was a 60-year member of Court Street Methodist Church and a member of Rockford Family Campers. Elizabeth retired from Marion Health and Safety Co in 1983. After retirement, she and Ross enjoyed life in Florida and traveling with the Holiday Rambler RV Club. In later years, they enjoyed life back in Rockford and their association with Alpine Senior Center, Super Seniors at the Church and bridge with friends.
Survivors include her son, Bradley (Lori); daughter-in-law, Randiann King; grandsons, Robert and James King; granddaughters, Teresa (Tom) Musso and Katie (Adam) Dreger; great-grandchildren, Addyson and Brandt King, Natalie and Nicholas Musso and Easton Dreger; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, husband, son, Brian; brothers, Ben and Carl and several aunts and uncles.
A private family graveside service will be held at Willwood Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Court Street Methodist Church. To share a memory or condolence please visit www.honquestfh.com
