So sorry to hear of Mr. Peterson's passing. He was a great man and taught me so much as the Scout Master of Troop 218. Those lessons have served me well through out my life.

I have many great memories of Gene from working together at Greenlee. He had many great stories and a willingness to share his stories with us "young" folk. I think of him often and I do retell many of his stories. My prayers are with you.

I so appreciated getting to know Uncle Gene at the reunions. He was welcoming, caring, funny and such a good person! He will not be forgotten. I am so glad I had the priviledge of knowing him. We share your sorrow.

Thinking of you all during this time of sorrow, yet rejoicing for all of the memories I have of Gene - I will always have our family reunions etched in my memory - much love to you all!

I will always remember Uncle Gene's funny stories. I can see him now once again standing around the bbq drinking beer with his brothers, Phil, Marvin and Donny (the Galena boys). Listening to the stories the four had quite the time growing up but held each other close. Another generation is gone with Gene's passing. He will be missed by many. Condolences to the family.

Condolences to the Peterson family. I am proud to say that my family and I have known Gene Peterson for a long time. He was a neighbor of my grandmother and grandfather Anderson on 9th avenue. Besides neighbors, my mother worked under his guidance at Greenlee Textron and I was lucky enough to have him as my boyscout leader.

What I remember most about Gene was his patience and smile. He was very kind and took us to a lot of places while I was a boy scout. He was very generous with his time and offered help to anyone who asked. He was a fine man and great example of a leader with 'heart' - very inspirational in terms of his leadership abilities.

To the Peterson family, I am very sorry for your loss, our prayers are with you.

My deepest condolences on the passing of Eugene "Pete" Peterson. I have only the fondest memories of Uncle Gene and remember many stories of boy scouts and other adventures. While I know we will all miss Gene, I am sure he is enjoying a fine game of cribbage with his brothers Phil, Marvin, and Donny even as I type this note. Thinking of you in this time of sorrow.
