Deepest condolences to the entire Erikson family on the passing of a remarkable man and a loving & devoted father. May his many fine professional accomplishments, business and scientific achievements live on to be a source of respect, pride, and love to his industry, his community, and, esp., to his family.

My opportunity to work with Evans came in the form of membership on a corporate board together. Evans showed his sharp mind, valuable experience in business and engineering, and applied it with quick wit and accurate evalutations as a part of his board duty. The interesting thing is he was underpaid for his level of contribution but he was able to treat this board, this small company as a model of all of the other companies for which he had worked and directed. He could study, analyze, debate and solve real business problems. He did so with his world class accumen and the high class standards maintained for the company. Our company was fortunate to be able to have him as a board member. John Crone, Board Member, Cleo Communications, Rockford, IL

I would like to express my sincere condolences to all in the Erikson family and dear friends. I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Erikson but I know you all loved him deeply. He seemed to be an intelligent; hard working man who was able to accomplish great things in his life, which I can imagine you all are very proud of. May the support and comfort from family and friends help you during this difficult time. Even more so, “May God be for you a refuge and strength, a help that is readily to be found during distresses.”-(Psalm 46:1)

Carolyn, I am so sorry to learn of Evans passing. I served under him for a long time and considered Evans probably the smartest man i've ever met. He once spotted a one word change I'd made to a long presentation he'd seen before and Evans zeroed in on the change.with his usual laser focus. I'd planned to explain the change, but Evans spotted it before I could point it out. I don't think I ever had a discussion with Evans Erikson that I didn't learn something. Later, after he retired, I got to know him better. I looked forward to seeing him and discussing market conditions, the tulips in the Netherlands, or whatever subject popped up. He was a brilliant, grand man, and he will long and positively in my memories. Ben Small (Tucson, AZ)
