Gladis Meyer Obituary
Gladis E. Meyer, 94, of Rockford passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018. Born January 5, 1924, in Chicago to Edgar and Esther (Swanson) Swanberg. Married Gerald A. Meyer June 14, 1946, in Rockford. A member of First Evangelical Covenant Church where she was active in the Arlene Circle and enjoyed spending time with her church friends. Survivors include children, Judy (Michael) Fasula of Rockton, John Meyer of Frankfort; grandchildren, Heather (Larry) Heidenrich, Samuel Fasula, Dominic (Jenni) Fasula, Mandi (Chuck) Rumpf, Jason Meyer; great-grandchildren, Brynn, Ashlyn Heidenreich, Kenzi Prosser, Kaiya, Ezra, Vinny Fasula, Julia Meyer; brother, Philip (Virginia) Swanberg; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband; infant daughter, Lucille; daughter, Janice Meyer; brothers, Robert, Tyler Swanberg; and sister, Esther Johnson.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018, in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe.
