Helen M. Tucker, 88, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017. She was born on December 14, 1928, in Rockford, the daughter of Otto V. and Bernice (Bain) Haegg. Helen obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Rockford College. She married W. Crawford Tucker on June 16, 1951 in Rockford. He predeceased her on December 6, 1984. Helen adored and was devoted to her family. Helen also enjoyed golfing, the beach, all wildlife and was a master gardener. She was a member of Rockford Country Club and a supporter of the Rockford Dance Company. Helen was a long term member of Third Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her children, Robert (Yasica) Tucker of Rockford, David (Jennifer) Tucker of Rockford, Mary (William) Friede of Rockford, and Carol Brcka of Wheaton, IL; nine grandchildren, Dana, Megan (Cole), Sara, Zachary, Ryan, Anne, Matthew, Sarah, and Audrey; four great grandchildren, Tucker, Sawyer,and Ava Pate, and Avianna; and nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her sister, Marilyn Osborn. The family would like to give a special thank you to Susan from VNA Hospice.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 24, 2017 in Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave, Rockford with Reverend Steve Bowie officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service in the chapel. Private burial at Scandinavian.
