Joyce and family,
When you know where someone is, they are not lost. We know, and you all know, where Ivan is. He's traded teaching, reading, and memorizing God's written Word for seeing Jesus, the living Word, face to face. The only things that have changed are Ivan's residency and citizenship. God Bless!

So sorry I was unable to attend Ivan's visitation I was out of town. I hope you know my thoughts and prayers are with you. Ivan was a great person and friend to all. He was a good and faithful servant. May you be comforted in this time of sorrow. I will remember Ivan always.

I was surprised and saddened to read of Ivans passing. He was such a great guy. He was in our graduating class at East High. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy to his loved ones.

Dear Joyce & Family;
Our deepest condolences for you and your love ones. Ivan was always very kind and respectfull with me and very kind. I remember very much when he visit me at the hospital after my many surgeries to bring communion and a word of encouragement. Thank you Ivan for those thoughts and prayers towards myself and may the lord grant you the rest and peace that you diserve.

When I first moved to the Rockford area ten years ago, Mr. Bailey was the first to greet me when I attended Central Christian Church. I was surprised as he appeared so clean-cut and I was anything but. Whenever I returned to the church, I sought his attention and he always returned my greeting. I was delighted to discover his wife and daughter were as gracious and God-loving as he. Whenever I saw Mr. Bailey after that first meeting, the phrase that kept running through my mind was, "A man in whom the spirit of God is." He will be sorely missed.
