Jeanne Case Obituary

JEANNE E. CASE, 86 ROCKFORD - Jeanne E. Case, 86, of Rockford died Monday, June 4, 2012, at Wesley Willows, surrounded by her loved ones. Born Feb. 8, 1926, in Rockford; the daughter of A.J. and Hildur (Gullin) Malstrom. Graduate of East High School, Class of 1944. Married Milo F. Case on March 2, 1957, in Rockford. Jeanne was a secretary for Lloyd Corp. for 22 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and a volunteer at SwedishAmerican Hospital. Jeanne always enjoyed travel, gardening, winters in Texas, visits with her grandchildren, and spending time with her family and many friends. She especially loved her "Club" gals. Friends since teenagers, the Club gals met monthly for more than 70 years, sharing much love and laughter. Survived by husband, Milo; daughters, Cynthia (John Foley) Case of Minneapolis and Laurie Case of Neenah, Wis.; grandchildren, Maureen (Jeremiah) Case Finley and David Case Foley; great-granddaughter, Skylar Anne Finley; and brother, Donald (Bernice) Malstrom of Mesa, Ariz. Predeceased by sister, Janet Friberg. The family wishes to thank the staff of Wesley Willows and Kirk's Place for their excellent, compassionate care. Service at 11 a.m. Friday, June 8, at Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., with visitation from 10 to 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 4509 Highcrest Road, Rockford, IL 61107; or Wesley Willows, c/o Employee Christmas Fund or Good Samaritan Fund, 4141 N.
