Jeanne C. Lindgren 1938—2018
Jeanne C. Lindgren, 80, of Rockford, IL passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018, at home with family, after a long and courageous battle with several medical issues. Jeanne was born January 22, 1938, in Rockford, IL, daughter of Robert and Mildred (Beard) Bartholomew. She married Jack Lindgren in October 1955, in Rockford, IL. Jack passed away June 29, 1998, after a long battle with cancer. Jeanne was a longtime member of Central Christian Church in Rockford. She was an involved member of the church and she was a member of the finance committee and a small group where she enjoyed the fellowship of many important people in her life. Throughout life, Jeanne especially enjoyed her family most of all, but she was interested in many activities such as spending time with Frankie (her dog), fly fishing, traveling, gardening, cooking, grandchildren's sporting events, tap dancing, and later in life puzzles with friends. She had many lifelong friends whom she dearly loved and will miss (Jeannine, Nancy, Joanne, and others). Survivors include her children, Edward Lindgren of Denver, CO and Julie Rylatt of Rockford, IL; grandchildren, Tyler (Megan) Lindgren, Riley Lindgren, Connor Rylatt, Kelsey Rylatt and Katy Rylatt; one great-granddaughter, Clementine; nieces, and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; loving husband, Jack; sister, Judith Dixon; and brother, James Bartholomew.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, July 2, 2018, at Central Christian Church, followed by a funeral service at noon. Cremation rites will take place following the funeral services.
