JEROME L. 'JERRY' ANDERSON, 77 ROCKFORD - Jerome L. "Jerry" Anderson, 77, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014, in his home. He was born Sept. 24, 1936, in Rockford, the son of Ira and Rhoda D. (Sundquist) Anderson. He graduated from Rockford East High School, Class of 1955. Jerry married the former Jackie Johnson in Rockford on Sept. 24, 1966. He was formerly employed by Commercial Printing and he retired from Rockford Board of Education. Jerry was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, LLL Society, and Elida Lodge, serving on the drill team. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. Survivors include his wife, Jackie; daughters, Jessica and Joella Anderson; granddaughters, Alexandra and Carley Anderson; a sister, Jeannine Johnson, all of Rockford; a brother, John A. (Donna) Anderson of Wild Rose, WI; brother-in-law, Eugene (Diane) Johnson of Winnebago, IL; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Mickey and Nick Mangiaracina, Michael Meyers, and Jay Castrogiovanni. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014, in Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd., 215 N. Sixth St., Rockford, IL. Visitation at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.
