Jerome Peterson Obituary
Jerome W. Peterson passed away in Waco, TX on September 15, 2017, at the age of 87. Jerry was born July 3, 1930, to his parents, Wallace R. Peterson and Edna (Johnson) Peterson in Rockford, IL. He graduated from Rockford East High School in 1948, served 45 months in the U.S. Air Force, married Mary Ann Dummer in 1953, and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1958. In 1991, Jerry was able to retire and comfortably pursue his hobbies of woodworking, home handyman activities, and golf. He was a huge, lifelong fan of the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks. His wife of 63 years passed away in September 2016, and left a void in his heart and his remaining life. Jerry is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Sheri Peterson of McGregor, TX; his son, Daniel Peterson of Brigham City, UT; and two granddaughters, Kasha and Kari.
The scattering of cremation ashes will take place at a later date at a location to be determined. The family is grateful for condolences but declines flowers and donations.

He & Mary were friends of my parents Elizabeth & Harvey Vavra-They were wonderful people. I had the pleasure of working with Jerry at Ipsen many years ago.My thoughts and prayers go out to their family and friends.
