To Steve, Barb and Kristyn. It is with a sad heart that I read of John's passing. For many months, I picked him up at his home and took him with me and Ben Mohrmann to our practice with the Rockford Barbershop Chorus where John sang lead (and was a good one). I joined the chorus in 1995 and knew John since that time. When he was at Fireside, my quartet, the 'Whoo Else' came over twice and sang for him, and he even joined in when he could. He will be sadly missed by, not only the Barbershop Chorus which he loved, but by the whole Rockford community. He's up 'there' with some of the fellows who have been waiting (Bill Doll in particular)and they will 'KEEP THE WHOLE HEAVENLY WORLD SINGING.'
Nolan 'Sully' Sullivan, a fellow lead.
