Kenneth Ekedahl, 78 ROCKFORD - Kenneth Ekedahl, 78, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010, in his residence. Born Feb. 8, 1932, in Rockford, the son of John and Harriet (Lundeen) Ekedahl. Married Marilyn Johnson. Kenneth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed golf, woodworking and was a handyman. Kenneth owned and operated Lincoln and Fairview bakeries. Survivors include wife, Marilyn; daughter, Lynnell (Tim) Finley of Seminole, Fla.; granddaughter, Michelle (Jason) Gough of Rockford; great-granddaughters, Anna and Lauren Dulmage of Rockford; brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Mardel Yonikas of Georgetown, Texas; special friends, Bill and Carol Mortonson; and beloved nurse, Char Hubbard. Predeceased by parents; and brother, Charles Ekedahl. Special thank you to Dr. Deming, Nurse Char and Heartland Hospice for their loving care and support shown to Kenneth and his family. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, in Trinity Lutheran Church, 200 N. First St., with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time.
