Kenneth Roser

KENNETH L. ROSER, 77 ROCKFORD - Kenneth L. Roser, 77, of Rockford, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015, in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born March 27, 1937, in New Milford, IL; the son of Donald and Alice (Bauch) Roser. Kenneth was a 1955 East High School graduate. He served in the United States Army where he belonged to the skeet shooting team. He married Carol Lund on July 12, 1957, in Rockford. He was employed with National Lock and Wrentham Steel Products where he worked for a combined 46 years. Kenneth developed a patent that was an "self extruding screw", while employed with National Lock; he enjoyed playing golf, enjoyed wood working and built two homes. He is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Jeffrey (Liliana) of Herford, AZ and Laurie (Alan) Whitlow of Stillman Valley, IL; grandchildren, Ashley, Todd, Andres, Dominique, and Jackson; siblings, Iona Woodrick, Ramona Swanson, June Adams and Dee (Sandy) Roser. Predeceased by his parents and twin siblings, Jack and Jill Roser. The family would like to thank Rockford Memorial ICU staff for all the love and support they showed. Memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2015, in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 4620 20th St., Rockford, with Pastor Robert Mellon officiating. Memorial visitation will be from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. prior to the service in the church. Memorials to the family to be established at a later date.
