Kenneth Stucker Obituary

KENNETH F. STUCKER, 83 ROCHELLE - Kenneth F. Stucker, 83, of Rochelle died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at Rochelle Rehabilitation Center. Born Oct. 31, 1928, in Davis Junction, the son of Joseph and Hannah (Beer) Stucker. He married Norma Jean (Hicks) Stucker on June 19, 1982, in Monroe Center. Ken was a carpenter and craftsman. He was self-employed and owned "Ken Stucker Repairs" in Monroe Center for many years. He was a veteran of the Korean War where he served as a staff sergeant for the U.S. Army. He loved to travel and he and his wife traveled to all 50 states during their years of traveling together. His favorite trip was to Alaska. Ken was an avid gardener. He also loved spending time with his friends and family; especially sharing stories about his life with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all; especially by his loving and devoted wife. Survived by wife, Norma Jean of Rochelle; children, Susan (Joe) Arco of Belvedere, Barbara Key of Rockford and Edward Stucker of Kingston, Wash.; stepchildren, Ed (Lynn) Van Vickle of Rochelle, Juanita (Richard) Hendricks of Broken Arrow, Okla., Tammy (Terry) Pottinger of Stillman Valley, Roy (Sharon) White of Aurora, Colo., and Danny (Denae) White of Rochelle; brothers, Keith (Norma) Stucker and Milton (Connie) Stucker; sisters, Phyllis (Bill) Hillers and Arlene (Don) Adamson; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; brother, Emmest; sister-in-law, Mary Stucker; and grandchildren, Chad White, Kevin Pottinger and Sarah White. The family would like to thank Rochelle Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, and all the doctors and nurses with Serenity Hospice for gently caring for and nurturing Ken. Service at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home, 136 W. Roosevelt, Stillman Valley, with Pastor Bob Mellon of Monroe Center Community Church officiating. Burial in Monroe Center Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family. For more information, farrellhollandgale.com.
