L. Quincer Obituary
L. Joy Quincer, 84, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 26, 2017, in her home. She was born November 19, 1932, in Rockford, IL, daughter of Elvin and Julia (Reid) Haegg. Joy graduated from East High School in 1950. She married the love of her life, Murray Quincer, on April 20, 1952, in Belvidere, IL. Joy worked for Chicago Northwestern Railroad. She loved snowmobiling and was member of the Prairie Riders Snowmobile Club. Joy enjoyed going for motorcycle rides. She liked spending summers at the lake, and Joy adored spending time with her husband. Joy is loved and missed by her children, Susan (Tom) Hughes and Tom (Angela) Quincer; grandchildren, Keeth (Sharon) Furan and Kari Furan; and great-grandchild, Stephany Furan. She was preceded in death by her loving companion of 68 years, Murray; parents; and sister, Honey. A very special thank you to Merle and Bonnie Schultz, Jim and Ruth Bond, and her loving caregiver, for all of your compassion and support. Joy will truly be missed.
A private celebration of her life has taken place. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice. To light a candle or share a condolence, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com.
