LEON R. LINDEROTH, 82 A MAN OF LOVE, COMPASSION AND CHARITY ROCKTON - Leon R. Linderoth, 82, of Rockton died March 25, 2010, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, after a brief illness. Born March 9, 1928, in Rockford to Stanley V. and Ada (Seaver) Linderoth. Married Norma Stang on Sept. 16, 1949, in Rockford. Leon was a manufacturers agent in metals and magnets and co-owner of LBS Marketing (Cryogenics). Member of First Congregational Community Church, Star in the East Masonic Lodge No. 166, Valley of Freeport Scottish Rite Bodies, Tebala Shrine, Tebala Ambassadors, Tebala Shrinanigans, co-founder of Tebala's S.H.andL., founder of the Annual Tebala's "Leon's Famous Fish Boil Dinner," past director of Royal Order of Jesters, YMCA Retired Men's Club, University Club, Harmony Singing Society, City Club and Illinois Sheriff's Association. Leon is held in the hearts of his wife of 60 years, Norma Stang Linderoth of Rockton; daughter, Susan (Bruce) Coulter of Rockford; sons, David (Dianne) Linderoth of Norcross, Ga., and Brian (Judith) Linderoth of Lake Tahoe; grandchildren, David (Christine) Coulter, Chelsea Linderoth, Tabitha Stang and Raquel Stuart; niece, Debbie Stang (Larry) Stuart; nephew, Danny Stang; great-grandchildren, Joshua, James, Alex and Hailey Coulter; brother, Roger (Joanne) Linderoth of Prescott, Ariz.; and sister, Cheryl (Doug) Hood of Jacksonville, Fla. Celebration of Life service at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, April 3, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural St., with the Rev. Lee Laaveg, pastor and the Rev. Jim Jupin, pastor of Congregational Community Church, officiating.
