Lois Magnusson

LOIS ELEANOR MAGNUSSON, 87 ROCKFORD - Lois Eleanor Magnusson, 87, passed away Dec. 28, 2014. Born November 8, 1927, in Rockford, IL; daughter of Arthur Leonard and Harriett Mirian Elwood Jensen. Lois married Carl Alfred Magnusson in Rockford, IL on June 15, 1957. He preceded her in death. Lois graduated from East High School in 1945. Retired from National Lock Company where she was employed as a secretary for 39 years. She was a lifelong member of The New Milford United Methodist Church, UMC Women's Group, New Milford Community Senior Citizens Group and Knitter's & Crocheter's Group. Lois enjoyed her many activities, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with many family and friends. Lois is loved and will be deeply missed by her family, sister, Neva (Willis) Dodd of Lanark, IL; sister-in-law, Patricia Jensen of Loves Park, IL; nieces and nephews and their families, Kevin (Sue) Jensen, Kim (Gary) Aagesen, Karla (Nick) Argeroudis, Karen (Mike) Moyer, Kelly (Dave) Nelson, Craig (Cheryl) Dodd, Jeff (Julie) Dodd, Brad (Gail) Dodd; and many great-nieces and nephews. Lois is preceded in death also by her parents; brother, Spencer Jensen; and great-nephew, Brandon Dodd. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015, at New Milford United Methodist Church, 7102 Cindy Dr., with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial at the New Milford Cemetery. Memorials may be directed for the church in her name.
