Loretta Bogdonas Obituary

Loretta C. Bogdonas, 79 Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother ROCKFORD - Loretta C. Bogdonas, 79, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, in the Medical Center of Arlington, Texas. Born March 14, 1931, in Rockford, the daughter of William and Helen Calcacurcio. Graduated from East High School and married her loving husband, Robert J. Bogdonas. She and Robert were active members of the Lithuanian Club for many years. Loretta enjoyed reading, playing bingo and Scrabble. Survivors include husband, Robert of Texas; children, Paulette (Al) Gray of Belvidere, Tom (June) Bogdonas, Mark Bogdonas, both of Alabama, Annette (Wayne) Clark of Texas, Rosette Mertle of Arizona, Helene Bogdonas of Tennessee and Eileen Bogdonas of Freeport; grandchildren, Tony, Brian, Nicholas, Sean, Angela, Jacob, Heidi, Michael and Grayson; and best friend, Connie Aarhus of Rockford. Preceded in death by her parents; and sister. Service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Road, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Interment in Willwood Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family. Extend condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.

Dear Bob and Family,

It's so sad to read of someone you love who has passed away, this being Loretta, my dear cousin. There were many fun times I had with Loretta, Aunt Helen, Uncle Billy, and Adeline. Aunt Helen was like a mother to me growing up. I can remember being a bridesmaid in your wedding with Adeline and Connie. It was such a special day!
My loving husband Harry passed away on January 13, 2011, so I can imagine what you are going through Bob. Just remember that we have a lot of good memories of our loved ones to hold on to.
Bob, you and your family are in my prayers.
