LOUISE W. BACKEBERG, 87
PECATONICA - Louise W. Backeberg, 87, of Pecatonica died at 4:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, in Medina Manor Nursing Center, Durand. Born Feb. 19, 1922, in LaValle, Wis., the daughter of Albert and Marie (Lucht) Roloff. Lived 59 years in Pecatonica, coming here from Wisconsin. Married Ivan W. Backeberg in June 1943, in LaValle, Wis. Member of St. John Lutheran Church, Pecatonica. Graduated from Reedsburg High School, Sauk County, Wis. Survivors include daughter, Rochelle Buttke of Janesville, Wis.; sons, Victor (Nancy) Backeberg of Pecatonica and William (Kimberly) Backeberg of Ridott; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents; husband; two sisters; and one brother.
Funeral ceremonies at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, in St. John Lutheran Church, 1301 Jackson St., Pecatonica, with visitation from 9 a.m. to time of service; the Rev. Terry Theiss, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica. A memorial has been established. Arrangements by McCorkle Funeral Home, 203 W.
