Louise Therese (Cerutti) Greene 1927—2018
Louise Therese (Cerutti) Greene, 90, of Laguna Hills, CA died Thursday, January 18, 2018. Born July 14, 1927, in Rockford, IL; daughter of Andrew and Florine (Sisti) Cerutti. Attended St. James Elementary School and Rockford East High School, graduating in 1945. Also attended St. Anthony School of Nursing in Rockford and worked for local doctors for several years. Louise moved to southern California in 1968, where she worked for Children's Hospital of Orange County until retiring in 1990. She married Clyde W. Greene on September 24, 1977, in California. They lived six months of the year in their summer home in Embden, ME, and spent the remaining six months in Mission Viejo, CA. While living in Maine, Louise learned rug-braiding and kept a small flock of chickens for fresh eggs. Her other hobbies included cooking, knitting, reading, golf, and spending time with her adored grandchildren. She was a member of Crossroads Christian Church in Madison, ME, and Mission Viejo Christian Church in California. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Clyde on January 27, 2015; her son David Andrew Jakeman on January 2, 2004; nephew, Andrew Benzmiller; and niece, Terri Benzmiller. Survivors include daughter, Susan (Dennis Siebold) Berchiolli, Schaumburg, IL; daughter, Diana Berchiolli, Washington, DC; son, Rick (Barbara) Berchiolli, Chicago, IL; daughter-in-law, Susan Jakeman, Chino, CA; daughter, Janet (Gordon) Driver, Henderson, NV; daughter, Barbara Brower, Newport Beach, CA; stepdaughter, Nancy (Richard) Glover, Madison, ME; stepdaughter, Kathy (Edward) LaGasse, Madison, ME; sister, Frances (Robert) Benzmiller, Sun Prairie, WI; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Mission Viejo Christian Church, 27192 Jeronimo, Mission Viejo, CA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Right to Life League of Southern California (
