Lucille Anderson Obituary

LUCILLE D. ANDERSON, 86 ROCKFORD - Lucille D. Anderson, 86, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015. Lucille was born Sept. 28, 1928, in Rockford, the daughter of Chester and Essie Hardy. Graduated East High School. She married LaVerne E. Anderson Feb. 14, 1954. They were married 45 years until LaVerne's passing in 1999. She owned and operated the Four Seasons Dress Shop for 29 years. She loved crossword puzzles, word searches, dining out and occasional trips to the casino. Survived by her sister-in-law, Olive Hardy; numerous nieces and nephews; good friends, Dottie and Al, Eloise, Clarkie, John and Stacy and the entire Ramadani family, and Wes and Sue. Predeceased by her parents; sister, Dorothy and husband, Pete Happ; brother, Newell and wife, Alma Hardy; brother, Carl and wife, Emmalou Hardy; and brother, Dale Hardy. The family would like to thank Northern Illinois Hospice and special caregiver, Mary Goodwin. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2015, at Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., with Rev. Dr. Michael Thomas officiating. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 925 5th Ave, Rockford, IL 61104, or Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, c/o Tebala Shrine Temple, 7910 Newburg Rd, Rockford, IL 61108.
