MARGARET AMELIA JOHNSON
ROCKFORD - Margaret Amelia Johnson left this world to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, 10 days before her 82nd birthday. Born June 25, 1928 to George Constantine and Mary Mable (Blair) Jacobson. She was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she met her husband, Paul Robert Johnson Jr. They were married Feb. 14, 1953; he died in 1997. She was a good mother who loved children and member of the alter guild, Kumamoto Circle, and a dedicated Sunday and Summer School teacher. Survived by children, Janet Dailey of Georgetown, Ind., Catherine (William) Dondanville of Godfrey, Joan (Michael) Paeth of Alton, Mark (Mary) Johnson and Steven (Judy) Johnson of Rockford; grandchildren, Catherine and Amanda Dailey, Sarah and Caroline Johnson and Anna and Daniel Johnson; step-grandsons, Thomas and Jeffrey Dondanville; sister, Cora Schafmen; brother, George Jacobson; Predeceased also by sisters, Hazel Hanford and Audrey Jacobson; sons-in-law, Donald Dailey and Robert Gillson; brother-in-law, Richard Schafman; and sister-in-law, Bernice Jacobson. She will be sadly missed by all of her family.
Graveside service at 1 p.m. Monday, June 21, in Willwood Burial Park, 7111 W. State St., with the Rev. Jay Quinn of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Memorials can be made to Trinity House, 2001 N. First St., Rockford, IL 61107. Mom went peacefully in her sleep Tuesday. There is a full online obituary at the new albany, indiana tribune website. Mom's funeral is Monday 6/21 1 PM at Willwood Cemetary 7100 W State St, 3PM fellowship at Trinity 200 N 1st St.
