MARIAN L. ALDRICH, 76 MACHESNEY PARK - Marian L. Aldrich, 76, of Machesney Park passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, in her home. Born June 16, 1936, in Rockford, the daughter of Edward A. and Ruth L. (Nelson) Loy. Marian attended East High School and Rockford Career College. She married Duane R. Aldrich on April 12, 1997, in Loves Park. She worked at Sundstrand Aviation from 1983 to 1992. Marian was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing (made some of her own clothes), embroidering of dish towels, crocheting of afghans, and played the violin with the Junior and Senior High School orchestras. She is survived by husband, Duane; sons, Bruce Stewart of Rockford, Timothy (Renee) Stewart of Roscoe and Christopher Stewart of Machesney Park; daughters, Rebecca (Gerald) Johnson of Poplar Grove, and Lenore (Timothy) Mayer of Belvidere; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces; nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her parents; brothers, William and David Loy, and sister, Helen Smith. Marian was previously married to Chester Stanek, who predeceased her March 17, 1983. Service at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in Grace Lutheran Church, 343 Grand Ave., with visitation from 10 to 10:45 a.m.; the Rev. Brent Dahlseng will officiate. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.
