Marilyn Stiegler Obituary

MARILYN J. STIEGLER, 82 DAVIS - Marilyn J. Stiegler, 82, formerly of Davis, died Sunday, April 26, 2009, in Woods Crossing Care Center, Brodhead, Wis. Born June 16, 1926, in Rockford, the daughter of Harry and Louetta Ross. She and John W. Stiegler were married Nov. 16, 1946, in Rockford; he died April 28, 1999. She worked at the Winnebago County Courthouse for the county clerk's office for more than 40 years. She enjoyed gardening and knitting. She was a member of Davis Calvary United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She is survived by daughters, Polly (Bobby) Perkins, Sally (William) Kramer, both of Davis, and Amy (Kim) Shockey of Rock City; son, John (Holly) Stiegler of Davis; grandchildren, Ted Perkins of Forreston, Christopher (Carrie) Perkins of Windsor, Colo., Abby (John) McCune of Harrisonville, Mo., Ross (Sonya) Kramer of Rock City, Leah (Lane) Seagren of Davis, Dana (Chad) Workman of Davis, Evan Shockey and Olivia Shockey, both of Rock City, Eric (Audrey) Stiegler of Davis and Andrea (Douglas) Goode of Davis; 14 great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Glen Peacock of Rockford. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Mitzi Peacock. Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, in Davis Calvary United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, in Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 115 S. West St., Dakota. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in her name for the church.
