MARJORIE L. NORDELL, 85 TEMPE, AZ. - Marjorie L (Floody) Nordell, 85, of Tempe, AZ., passed away peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2015. She was born February 26, 1930, in Rockford. 1 of 3 daughters born to Martin and Dorothy (Peterson) Floody. Married Donald E. Nordell in Rockford on November 7, 1948, he passed in Winslow, AZ., June 15, 1976. Marge was an East High graduate class of 1947. Marge lived in Rockford until 1966, moving to Champaign, IL., Mishawaka, IN., and then to Arizona where she spent the last 43 years. Marge was a homemaker, raised her 4 children and played a special role in her first granddaughter, Alison (Fuehrer) Johnson's life. She enjoyed golfing, knitting, needlepoint and Bingo. Those that will mourn her passing and cherish her memory are her children Kay Fuehrer of Tempe, AZ., Deborah (Tom) Gentry of Cheyenne, WY., Daniel (Stephanie) Nordell of San Diego, CA., and Terry Nordell of Chandler, AZ., 7 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren; and sister Phyllis Jensen of Racine, WI. Predeceased by parents and sister Carol Carlson. In celebration of her life, a memorial gathering will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, November 7, at 1203 Roxbury Close, Rockford, the home of her granddaughter, Alison (Ray) Johnson.
