Mary F. Siracusa, 86, of Rockford, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016. Born October 19, 1929, in Rockford, IL; daughter of John and Mary (Bondi) Siracusa. Graduated from East High School. Employed by Nelson Knitting Company. Lifetime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Even though Mary never had children of her own she was a mother to anyone in need. She cared and had love for many. Survivors include cousin, Marie (George) Hoyt; niece, Mary (Paul) Iverson; Eddie (Talita) Byrnes, Abby Byrnes, Genna (Jason) Eckstein; nephew, Mark (Tina) Siracusa; Jordan (fiancée, Taylor) Siracusa, Zachary Green; nephew, Chuck (Shari) Siracusa; Tony (Ashlei) Siracusa; special niece, Deanna King. Predeceased by parents; brothers, Charles, John, Frank; nephews, Michael and John; best friend, Josie Nicosia.
Funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, with visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial at a later date. To share a memory or condolence visit www.sunsetfhmemgardens.com

My Cousin Mary was a mother to me many years due to my mother's poor health. Mary was everything good and beautiful, the kindest most loving soul. She asked for nothing but gave of herself over and over. She adopted several of us and I think I can speak for everyone, we will never forget her. I will carry her in my heart every single day and will miss her very much. I loved her with all my heart. Marie Syracuse Hoyt

My sister is Judy Macall. She passed away March 26th. She and Josie Nicosia will be at heavens gate welcoming Mary her into heaven. Judy liked Mary and would keep me updated on her health.
