Mary White Obituary

Mary L. White, 96 'gram' SOUTH BELOIT - Mary L. White, "Gram," 96, of South Beloit departed Friday, Feb. 4, 2011. Born Aug. 10, 1914, to Julio and Caroline Decori. Married Jack Ainsworth in 1935. They had three children, John, Ron and Char. Married Stephen C. White Jr. in 1951. She lived most of her life in Rockford. Before retiring she was last employed at Barber-Colman. Mary started Brownie and Girl Scout Troop 297. Life member of Ross-Pearson VFW. In her younger days, she cooked many fish fries at the VFW. Member of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Beloit, Wis. Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren. In her younger days, she made baby blankets, hats, slippers and scarves for family, friends and grandchildren. Mary enjoyed getting her hair done and going to breakfast at Sophia's with her son, John, and watching movies with her grandson, Tim, on Sundays. She loved helping everyone, giving anything she could to those who had none. Mary never missed a day saying rosary or prayers. Survived by children, John R. (Sharon) Ainsworth, Ron (Betty) Ainsworth, and C. Sherry (Bob) Draeger; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Kay Nuciforo; and brother, John Decori. Predeceased by her parents; two brothers; two sisters; and one grandson. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, in Our Lady of Assumption Church, 2222 Shopiere Road, Beloit, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Private burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to SWANI Beloit Domestic Violence Center, P.O. Box 476, Beloit, WI 53511, or to the family. Aunt Mary thank you for all the wonderful days we had together we always had a great time !!! You will be missed. You were such a amazing woman I hope that I can be like you and as strong as you someday. Thank you for such wonderful memories. Love you!

Gram, I can't thank you enough for EVERYTHING you've ever done for my girls. Thank you for always being there in our families time of need and always greeting us with a warm smile and food!
