MILLARD A. 'PAT' BUROW, 86 MARENGO - Millard A. "Pat" Burow, 86, of Ma-rengo died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, in Florence Nursing Home in Marengo. Born May 7, 1922, in Boone County, to Albert and Mabel (Johnson) Burow. He proudly served as a U.S. Marine in the South Pacific during World War II. On March 17, 1953, Pat married Evalyn Thompson at Zion Lutheran Church in Marengo. He was a lifelong area dairy farmer and a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Pat was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survived by wife, Evalyn of Marengo; children, Arvin Burow of Sharon, Wis., Daniel Burow of Poplar Grove, Gary Burow of Marengo and Theresa (John) Udstuen of Stoughton, Wis.; nine grandchildren; five great-grand-children; sister, Marion Hills of California; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents and sisters, Dorothy Collier and Winnefred Pundt. Service at 11 a.m. Friday, March 6, in Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Highway, Marengo, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to time of service; Pastor Glen Borhart will officiate. Interment in Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere.
