Nicholas Piper Obituary
Nicholas "Nic" Piper, 37, of Roscoe, IL, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017. Born September 2, 1980 on his mother's birthday, he is the son of Todd W. Piper and Mary Bartlett. He graduated from Hononegah High School. Nic married Lynessa Dalton on February 13, 2010 in Rockton. He was a member of NRCA and owned River Bend Construction for seven years and was the fastest growing privately owned construction Company in the State of Arkansas. Nic especially loved the time he spent with his children. As a Hononegah Indian Football kicker, he was a NIC 9 champion in 1997, and still holds the Hononegah record for the most extra points 38-38 in 1996. He was a Green Bay Packers fan. He enjoyed all outdoor activities, but especially loved the peace he found on his Harley. Survived by his wife, Lynessa; parents, Todd W. (Michelle) Piper of Roscoe and Mary (Bob) Cassioppi of Roscoe; children, Jordyn, Jocelyn, Hadilee, Cash, and Jaxson; siblings, Jacob and David (Beth) Piper; stepbrother, Nick Cassioppi; grandparents, Chuck and Diane Piper of Roscoe and Curtis (Liz) Bartlett of Waterloo, Iowa; uncles, Chuck (Deb) Piper Jr. of Alaska and Scott (Rita) Piper of Wisconsin; aunts, Carolyn (Dan) Bartlett-Rude of Durand and Jan (Rich) Trauch of Boston, MA; niece, Chloe; nephew, Lucas; and several cousins. Predeceased by brother, Jonathan "JonBoy" Piper; uncles, Denny Johnson, David E. Piper, and Ralph Bartlett; and grandmother, Shirley Bartlett.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2017, in Old Stone Church, 101 E. Union St., Rockton, IL with Pastor Dan Herman officiating. Burial in Roscoe Cemetery, motorcycle riders are encouraged to ride for the procession. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 27th and from 12:00 to 12:45 on Saturday prior to the service at 1 PM in Old Stone Church. In lieu of flowers a fund will be set up for the children and can be made payable to Charles Piper. Arrangements by Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Ltd. To Mary & Todd, I'am so sorry to hear about your son Nic. There isn't any words to say for your loss. Its been many years since I have seen you. Prayers to both of you. I'm so sorry for your loss. I believe this is the hardest thing a parent could go through, especially when children are also left behind. It's hard on the whole family when the death is out of the natural order of things. My heart goes out to you all.

Nic was one of the best friends a guy could have. Didnt matter if it was 6 days or 6 months in between talks we would always pick up right where we left off... I am so deeply saddened by this but I know you will be greeted with open arms by many great people in heaven... say hello to my mom and your brother for me. Fly high buddy... fly high!
