Norbert Green Obituary

NORBERT 'BERT' L. GREEN, 89 ROSCOE - Norbert "Bert" L. Green, 89, died Thursday, May 30, 2013. Born in Pestigo, Wisconsin, to Frank and Eleanor Green. He was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce. Bert was a truck driver working for Dohrn Transfer, until he retired and started his own business, Greens Lawn Care. You could always find Bert putzing around the house yard or his work room. The family spent many vacations together, however their fondest memories were the trips taken every Wednesday to Lake Delevan. Survived by wife of 62 years, Darlene; children, Daniel (Cynthia), Martin (Kelly) Green, Janet (Dennis) Turner and Catherine Kliebe; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; lots of nieces and nephews; special friends, Joe Kohler and Chuck and Nancy Neeson. Predeceased by son, Larry Schewe; brothers, James and Jerry; sister, Betty. Service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, at Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main St. Roscoe. Visitation 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 3, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harlem/Roscoe Fire Dept. c/o Bert. To express condolences visit honquestfh.com.

I am so sad to see that your beloved Bert has passed. He was a great man and will remember fondly the twinkle in his eye and the size of his heart. My condolences to the Darlene and all the family.
