Norman Bryan Obituary

NORMAN E. BRYAN, 79 BELVIDERE - Norman E. Bryan, 79, of Belvidere died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, in Homebridge Center. He was born Aug. 14, 1930, in Rockford to Charles and Helen (Gravalock) Bryan. Graduate of Rockford East High School. Retired meat cutter, having worked for Roscoe Food Mart and Grays IGA. Served in the military during the Korean conflict. Former volunteer for Harlem Roscoe Fire Department. Norman loved to fish, and he loved his cats. Survived by children, Kraig Bryan, Kurt Bryan, Kenlyn Turnipseed and Kris Bryan; grandchildren, Brent, Bryan, Brandon and Karri; nieces, Gigi, Rosemary and Charlene. Preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, June and Loretta. Private service. Memorials to the family. Arrangements by Belvidere Funeral Home, 203 Logan Ave.

Kraig, Kurt,Kris and Kenlyn, I am so sorry to read about your dad. I remember him working at the store in Roscoe and often think of him everytime I am on that street. He always made the BEST steaks at home.
