Peter Nelson Obituary

Peter Nelson 1941—2021
Peter Nelson fell asleep in death on May 12, 2021 at his home with his family at his side. He was born on January 2, 1941 in Rockford, the son of Henry and Delphia (Anderson) Nelson. Pete married his sweetheart Geraldine "Gerri" Sauberlich in 1966. They were happily married for 55 years. He was a graduate of East Rockford High School, class of 1959. Pete was a graduate of National College of Chiropractic, class of 1973. Pete practiced Chiropractic for over 40 years. He worked for Dean Foods for 17 years.
Pete loved people, he loved to see them smile. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and his jokes. Pete was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1975. Since that time, he has spent his life sharing Bible truths at every opportunity. He is survived by his wife, Gerri: his daughter Jennifer and his son Joshua. His family thanks the Northern Illinois Hospice for all their kindness and help during this difficult time.
A memorial talk zoom will be given by Eldon Shafer, Belvidere Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses on May 22, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Condolences may be sent to www.advantagefunerals.com
