RANDY C. CARLSON, 59 ROCKFORD - Randy C. Carlson, 59, Rockford resident passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015, in SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born in Rockford on December 10, 1955, son to George H. and Phyllis (Drotts) Carlson. Randy was a Guilford High School graduate, attended University of Illinois and graduated from Rockford Business College. He worked as a tool and die maker at W.G. Carlson & Sons. Randy loved his family and selflessly cared for his parents for the last ten years. Randy also enjoyed living in Stowe, Vermont for some of his life. Friends and family knew Randy best as a kind and humble man who loved life and was deeply spiritual. He was exceptionally proud of his daughter. Survivors include his mother, Phyllis D. Carlson; daughter, Erica (Thomas) Lafferty; granddaughter, Brooke; brother, Reid (Carolyn) Carlson; sisters, Kathy (Rick) Burgin and Kay (Dave) Crouch; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father and brother, Richard Carlson. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2015, in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 4311 North Mulford Road, Loves Park.
