Ray Bissman Obituary
Ray R. Bissman, 84 of Rockford, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019. He was born July 2, 1935 in Rockford, the son of Florence and Clarence Bissman. He is predeceased by his parents and brother, Sonny. He is survived by his children; Debra Bissman, Michael Bissman, Tammy (John) Murabito, and Kimberly (Craig Misslich) Jackson, granddaughters; Heidi (Greg) Batty, Emily (Santino) Coviello, Rebecca (John) Purtle and Florence Murabito. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, sister; Colleen Zernechel and former wife Nancy (Peucker) Bissman, as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral for Ray is scheduled for Saturday, August 10 at 2pm at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park IL. A visitation will be held at 1pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in memory of Ray be made to the American Diabetes Association or St. Jude's Hospital.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. I grew up with and was close to my first cousins and we all had great times together. Although I live in Colorado, I had an opportunity to see Ray several times in the last 10 years. It was as if we had never been apart all those years before.
