Jeff:

I am so very sorry for the heartache you are going through. I have been away otherwise I would have been at the service. Let your good memories of your dad help you accept this.

Dear Jeff, Lisa, Larry, Danny and Kathy,
My deepest sympathies on the passing of your dad. I'll always remember your dad from the flag football days of the team he coached, Humphrey Cadillac and Olds. He was always accepting of our failures and challenged us to do better. He loved us kids and we knew it. He was always a great example to us. I never ever heard your father swear or even argue a call with the referee although we all knew how much a competetor he was. He was quite a graceful form as he ran sprints with us after practice. I will always be thankful I had your dad as my coach. I'll miss him.

I don't know what to say. My mom told me about Dick's passing Monday night. I wish I could be there in person Thursday for the memorial, but I will be with you all in spirit. I'm praying for all of you guys. I spent a lot of my youth in Dick's presence and I remember him so very well.
