Richard C. Pauls 1927—2018
Richard C. Pauls, 91, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Born in Rockford to Charles and Ethel (Schelin) Pauls. A veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. Worked in the food and beverage industry for his family business. Dick enjoyed working in the yard especially with flowers, golfing and reading mystery novels. Survivors include sister-in-law, Charlene Pauls of Hot Springs Village, AR; nephew, Rob Pauls; cousins; and special friend, Dee Moberg. Predeceased by parents; and brother, Bob Pauls. A special thanks to OSF Hospice for their loving care. A very special thank you to nurse Elizabeth, who did so much for Dick.

Dear Char and family.

I have a lot of great memories of our days at the
Uptowne tavern that we owned as well as The Stable. I will never forget Dick's whit and his infectious smile and his laugh. He was a great mentor as well as well as a good friend. May he rest in peace until we meet again.
