I am so sad at the passing of my friend, I was Shirley and Dick's massage therapist. Watching him walk hand in hand with Shirley was one of the sweetest things I'd ever seen. He was kind, honest and always concerned about his community and he put his heart into being an integral part of the inner workings of Rockford to make it a better place for all of us to live. I will miss his smile. He frequently visited with my husband while shopping at Logli's. We will miss him. Our condolances to his entire family.

THE LAST TIME I SAW DICK WAS AROUND CHRISTMAS. HE WAS STANDING IN THE COLD OUTSIDE SCHNOOKS GROCERY STORE ON CHARLES STREET WITH HIS FRIEND ALAN PANG RINGING THE BELL FOR THE SALVATION ARMY. TYPICAL OF THE MANY THINGS HE DID BIG AND SMALL FOR OUR COMMUNITY.
