Rick Fisher Obituary

RICK A. FISHER, 52 Loving Father, Husband, Bapa, Son and Brother ROCKFORD - Rick A. Fisher, 52, of Rockford died Wednesday, May 23, 2012, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born Dec. 8, 1959, in Chicago, son of Gerald and Sharon Fisher. Graduate of McHenry West High School. United in marriage on Feb. 26, 2010, to his loving wife, Patty Spencer. Formerly employed at the DuPage Water Conditioning Plant for the last eight years, where he worked as a title applications engineer, technical advisor and international sales manager. He was one of the greatest guys that you could ever work with. He looked forward to going to work everyday, not only to serve his customers but to see his colleagues. He was known for his thorough product knowledge, personal commitment and extensive technical background. Rick enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He was passionate about beautifying his lawn, and enjoyed long rides on his motorcycle. Attended Heartland Community Church. Survived by his wife; father, Gerald (Dorothy) Fisher of Machesney Park; children, Kristy (Anthony) Perera of Roscoe, Dana (AJ) Baker of Belvidere and Sarah Fisher of McHenry; stepchildren, Stephanie (Eric) Schroeder and Michael Spencer of Rockford; three grandsons; sister, Susan (Dan) Paroongsup of McHenry; nieces, Jasmine and Tabitha Paroongsup; and sister-in-law, Sheryl Johnson of Rockford. Predeceased by his mother and brother, Ron Fisher. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their tender care and support. Service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Heartland Community Church, with visitation beginning two hours prior to the service. Pastor Jan Selander will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial fund that will be designated. Grace Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements. To The Fisher Family.
I remember Rick when I was a Sophmore at West Campus and he was a Freshman.He was a very sweet guy and I had such a crush on him. I even had Ron in some of my classes. He will be missed.
