ROBERT JAMES MILHONE, 88 ROCKFORD - Robert James Milhone, 88, Rockford, died Sunday, December 28, 2014, at Pine Acres Rehab and Living Center in DeKalb. He was born December 31, 1925, in Rochelle, IL, son of Donald J. and Ethel L Albright Milhone. Married Helen Louise Wells in Rockford on May 26, 1945; she died January 29, 2012. He was a tool and die maker for many Rockford companies. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII as a bombardier and tail gunner on the B-17. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church and graduate of East High School. He was an amateur radio operator. Survivors include his daughters, Nancy A. (Barry) Sanders of Machesney Park and Ellen Otto of Beloit; sons, James (Barb) Milhone of Roscoe, John (Glenda) Milhone of Jonesboro, AR and Jeffrey (Marcia) Milhone of DeForrest, WI; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Also predeceased by one brother and one sister. Mass of Resurrection at 11 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2015, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, IL 61111, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. until service time.
