Molly, we were so sorry to hear about your loss. We knew Roger when he started kindergarten at Jackson school and most of his teenage friends. His mother was one of our best friends when we first came to Rockford-so helpful. We were blessed having known him. Marge & Alexis Malachowski

It is rare that such a genuine person crosses your path as Roger. His big smile and good naturedness will always stay with me. He would often stop at my restaurant and greet me with his "I'm just living the dream, Carla!". Roger was a fun-loving and caring human being and I will miss his laugh. My deepest condolences to your family and friends. Godspeed my friend

The best memory of Roger is the day he was about seven and Roger Tony and I were super tunning this old lawn mower engine on an old wooden barrel in my back yard. (He lived one house away). Each taking turns holding the engine down onto the barrel by the gas tank. When we had not managed to blow it up yet,,, then the hair on our necks and our entire bodies just prickled and we all just had this this this strange sensation. Then kerbang lightning struck Bill's garage. No sooner than Tony and I realized what had happened and the garage was on fire Roger was gone and running up the back stairs into his house. We did not see him for about an hour. By then we had the fire out, been up on the roof and blew that stupid motor up the next day. Tony had ahold of it , Ha ha we were the kids of yore. Allways out side. Hide and seek, four square, throw the fake rope in front of the bus, crawling through the storm sewers, mowing, shoveling, raking, throwing snowballs and newspapers.

I will always remember Roger as a real nice person. I used to babysit him when I was a teenager, and even when I walked up his street to visit friends he was always sweet and friendly.
