My condolences to your family. We were in the stateline area this past week visiting children and grandchildren. Ran into Steve Blackmer (former BIW engineer) at Farm and Fleet and heard the news about Ron. I worked with him as the Body Shop industrial engineer from late 1989 until his retirement. Had many good talks with hime in the later years of that friendship. Know he cherished his family from those talks. His coversations with me helped me a lot when I was going through some tough family times. I still have and cherish the engraved pocket knife he gave me when he retired. take care,

Dearest Judy & family:
Was so very sorry to hear the sad news about Ron. I don't know if you will remember us. We lived in Belvidere yrs ago & went to the Hall there. LeRoy, Jerrylyn & kids. Our thoughts & prayers are with you & yours. He is now in Jehovah's book of remembrance. You will see him again some day soon. I would love to hear from You. Deepest Sympathys. Hope to hear from you.

Judy, My deepest condolences to you and your family. He was one of my favorite classmates at Alpine school. I remember when you first came to Alpine. You two were so lucky to have spent that many years together. God Bless you and your family.

Judy,
When I heard of Ron's passing, a flood of boyhood and school memories engulfed me. I remember the day I met Ron. My dad had started building our house on Alpine Road. I was outside playing in what became our back yard. Ron came by, and we got to know each other. When we move in, Ron and I became the best of friends. That friendship lasted from Alpine school through East High and beyond. When I moved away, we lost contact but that friendship was not lost for me. For me, he was the best friend I could have had. I will always cherish the time we spent together roaming the fields with our bows, camping out in the summer, daming up the creek, ice skating on the creek, sledding at the park, playing basketball and baseball, being a passenger on his motorcycle and all the other things we did together. I remember when you moved in next to our house. Ron was smitten. I know it was love at first sight. What a great time we all had together. While time and distance separated us, Ron will always be my best friend. All my prayers are with you and your family. Rusty

I went to Alpine School and East High with Ron and a bunch of us hung around together. I have several wonderful memories of growing up with Ron. We were "country" kids just on the outskirts of the city. We kids all had fun playing baseball, going down to the creek and Alpine Park, having afternoon snacks at each others houses and playing games. Those were such simpler times and I miss them. I also remember being home once to visit my aging mother and there was a knock on the door from Ron, who heard I was in town and stopped by to say hi. Judy, if you remember me from school, I always admired the love you two had for each other from the very beginning. You were truly meant for each other and had a wonderful life together. I am so sorry to hear this news. We are all here on earth for a short period of time, but it seems that some are whisked away to the Lord much to soon. My sympathy to you and your family.

Having worked with Ron for 30+ years at Chrysler I always appreciated his honesty, helpfulness, integrity, loyalty and the fact he was very dependable. Will truly miss him here but looking forward to getting together with him at some time, some place in the future.
