SHIRLEY KALTVED, 84 ROCKFORD - Shirley Kaltved, 84, of Rockford died Friday, March 14, 2008, in her home. Born Jan. 23, 1924, in Rockford, the daughter of John and Valentine (Birdie) Nordgren. Married Harold L. Kaltved on April 9, 1949, in Rockford; he died Nov. 8, 2004. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, and enjoyed crafting and quilting. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Keith) Burd, Shelley (Ed) Schmitt and Sherry Stahl; grandchildren, Kari, Tara, Chris, Eddie, Angela, Jaken and Malissa; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by son, Garold Kaltved. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, in Olson Funeral and Cremations Services, Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., with the Rev. Lee Laaveg officiating. Entombment in Sunset Mausoleum. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, in the funeral home.
