Shirley Larson-Peterson Obituary
Shirley M. Larson-Peterson, 89, of Rockford, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017, in Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center. She was born July 31, 1927, in Rockford; the daughter of Walter and Mae (Johnson) Ostrom. She was a 1945 graduate of East High School. She married Richard S. Peterson on June 15, 2005. Shirley was a longtime member of Bethesda Covenant Church, she was in the church choir, Sunday school teacher, ran summer bible camp, Katherine Circle for 52 years, and Easter Star member for over 50 years. She is survived by her husband, Richard; sons, Brad (Maria) Larson and Mark (Jennifer) Larson; grandchildren, Robert, Rachel, Ryan, Kyle, Tyler, Malory, and Caitlin; great-grandson, Noah; niece, Ann (Jeff) Chapetta and nephews, Steve (Becky) Bamberger, Todd (Penny) Bamberger, and Carl (Cheryl) Eklund. Predeceased by her first husband, Leroy "Jack" Larson November 10, 1993 and sister, Lois Bamberger Ecklund.
