I have fond memories of Sophie and the years I worked with her at American National Bank. I first met her in 1975; it was my first "real" job at 19. She was my sister's supervisor, but when she found out that I had started working there, she took me under her wing too. I also remember that she was ALWAYS impeccably dressed. She was a classy, confident, outspoken lady during a time when there were not a lot of opportunities for women in the banking industry. But when Sophie spoke, everybody listened! My sincerest condolences to the family.

For Sopia's Family,
I have no words to express my sorrow at finding out that Sophia had left us.Kathy, I want to say to you especially, how sad if feel for you. I know you were there for Sophia at all times. You were a true true friend.
I worked with Sophia for many years with the First of America Group. We had many lunches together along with many good times. I think of her often and will miss her dearly.

I worked with Sophia for many years at both American National Bank and First of America Bank. I loved her sense of humor and always enjoyed her stories. I agree the loves of her life were Sophia and her grand nieces. She seemed to always have a new photo so she could do a little bragging. I didn't even know she was ill and I'm so sorry to hear she has passed away. My prayers are with you.
