VIVIAN L. CARLSON, 98 LOVING MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER AND GREAT-GRANDMOTHER ROCKFORD - Vivian L. Carlson, 98, of Rockford passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, in Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center. Born Sept. 30, 1913, in Rockford; the daughter of Henry J. and Minnie A. (Anderson) Johnson. Graduate of Rockford Central High School, Class of 1932. Married Evert A. Carlson on Aug. 10, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa; he died Nov. 7, 1986. Vivian was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was involved in Married Couples and Miriam Circle. She was also a member of Vasa-Elvira Lodge. Survived by children, Dan (Margie) Carlson of Las Vegas and Judy (Mike) Oberg of Rockford; grandchildren, David (Sonali) and Erik (Nicole) Oberg, and Danna (Jennifer) Carlson; great-grandson, Henry Oberg; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her infant brother; and sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Grace Seaberg. The family would like to thank the staff of Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center for all of their loving care throughout the years. Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services Ltd., Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., with visitation from 10 to 10:45 a.m.; with the Rev. Jay Quinn officiating.
