Josephine Herrera

San Patricio, NM - In Memory of Josephine C. Herrera was called home to our Lord on Wednesday April 28, 2021. Born on May 18, 1934, to Ysidro and Paublita Chavez of San Patricio, New Mexico and was married to Benito B. Herrera. Josephine is survived by her 6 children, Frank, Yvonne (Reyes), Sylvia, Randy (Marie), Kim (Bruce), and Loretta (Leroy). Thirteen grandchildren, Bethany (Rick), Christina, Eris (Crystal), Alyssa (Lee), Robert (Cassie), Irene (Mark), Xavier (Kyrie), Andrea (Estevan), Mikaila (Zach), Nathan (Lena), Randy Jr. (Christina), Jude (Dee), and Julian. Eleven great grandchildren and one on the way (Estevan Jr.), Christian, Judea, Tatyanna, Benito, Leticia, Jayde, Jaxson, Kimber, Isabella, Elijah, and Jason. Six siblings, Melvin Chavez, Adela Gomez, Oralia Sanchez, Ramona Nunez, Reynel Martinez, and Eileen Sedillo. Preceded in Death by her husband Benito, twelve siblings, Grace, Amarante, Inez, Senon, Sipio, Oralia, Luvin, Emiliano, Danny, Humphrey, and Efrain. Granddaughter Benita, and son-in-law Lenard.

Prayer Service will take place at 9:30 AM on Thursday, May 6, 2021 followed by Celebration of Life Worship Service at St. Jude Catholic Church, San Patricio, New Mexico. There will be no reception due to Covid-19. A special thank you to Alma Nores and Teresa Donaghy for the special care they provided to mom in her final years and Encompass Health for providing medical care.
