Herbert Sady Obituary
He was born Sept. 3, 1932, in Leicester, Vt., the son of Felix and Leona (Beaumont) Sady.
He was an over-the-road trucker most of his life, enjoying nationwide travel. After retirement, he worked for McEachron Motors as a parts delivery person and also was employed for a time at Fort Ann Motors.
Mr. Sady was an avid fisherman, hunter and bowler. He also enjoyed taking care of his yard.
Survivors include six children, Steve Sady of Queensbury, Terrie Sady of Granville, Penny Washburn of Rutland, Vt., Herb and Don Sady, both of Hampton, and Betsy Turunen of East Poultney, Vt.; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn; a son, David; a granddaughter; three brothers, Bob, Bill and Harris.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville. Following burial in Mettowee Cemetery in Pawlet, Vt., a celebration of his life will continue at West Pawlet (Vt.) Fire House.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Haynes House of Hope, 7187 State Route 149, Granville, NY 12832; or to the Rescue Squad of your choice.
