Jacqueline Chapla Obituary
She was born May 14, 1935 in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of Edward and Helena (Thompson) Alberding.
Jacqueline was married May 14,1955 to Henry Stanley Chapla and they were long-time residents of New Providence, NJ, before making Clarendon, VT, their permanent home.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and an active parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Church in New Providence, NJ, for many years.
Surviving are her husband, Henry, four daughters: Jackie Faitoute (John Anderson) of Flemington, NJ, Rhonda Tokarzewski of New Providence, NJ, Laura Matern (Dieter) of Rochester, MN, and Natalie Gombosi (Alan) of East Poultney, VT; one son, Greg Chapla (Beth) of Hamilton, OH; seven grandchildren: Matthew, Nicholas and Eric Faitoute, Lukas and Marie Matern, Dana Tokarzewski and Steven Chapla; and one great-granddaughter, Marcy Faitoute.
Also surviving are Jacqueline's three sisters: Deborah Carlin, SaDonna Wickliffe and Sandra Wysong and three brothers: Edward, Gary and Timothy Alberding. She was predeceased by one brother, Thomas Alberding, and her parents.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Mullin-Clifford Funeral Home (95 Smith St. West Rutland, VT).
A Funeral mass will held at 11:00 am at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, also in West Rutland.
Interment at St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery with a reception for family and friends to follow.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka Church or to Babyland Family services in Newark, NJ (www.babylandfs.org).
