Robert Forrest Obituary
He was born Nov. 7, 1938, in Brandon, the son of Raymond and Elizabeth (Ryder) Forrest. He grew up in Brandon and attended Brandon High School.
In his earlier years, he was a woodsman and logged around the state. In 1977, he moved to Pittsford and farmed for the next 30 years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved animals.
Surviving are two daughters Joanne Cone of East Middlebury and Connie Forrest of Pittsford; two sons Chuck Forrest and Christopher Forrest, both of Pittsford; a brother, Gary Forrest of Forest Dale; a sister, Sandra Trombley of Brandon; four grandchildren, a great-grandson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Judy Forrest, in 1973; a son, Michael Forrest; a sister, Tina Marie Forrest; four brothers: Phillip, Gregory, Wayne and Roger Forrest; and a grandson.
A private graveside committal service and burial will take place at a later date in Forestdale Cemetery.
Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made to Rutland County Humane Society, 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763.
Arrangements are by Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home.
